We
do not select or hire the contractor, the project owner does.
However, we may act as an advisor in helping you to select the
right contractor for your project based on the scope of work.
We can also provide assistance with the bidding and/or negotiation
process as an extended service.
Many of our clients presently choose to negotiate a fixed cost
or cost of work plus a fee contract with a general contractor
they have pre-selected. This alternative allows for additional
cost control during the Construction Documentation phase, as
we usually like to see the general contractor become part of
the design team early on in the process. If you want to proceed
with a negotiated construction contract, we can provide you
with a list of regional contractors that, from our experience,
have proven records of successful projects. We always welcome
new qualified contractors to our list.
If you choose to bid your project, we will prepare the bidding
documents, coordinate with potential bidders, and administer
the bid.
We provide Bid Services as a separate effort from our basic
